Kyle and I ended up getting to the game the bottom of the second. We didn't actually sit down til the middle of the third (I was desperate for a hot dog). As soon as we sit down, we get two points! They were waiting for us! The bulk of the game was pretty boring until the 7th inning. We won 5-zip and are third time Northwest Champions! The last game we went to, Kyle and I decided we are going to pre-plan next season and buy a bunch of tickets and just make plans around that. Yesterday he decided it would be fun to get a bunch of people together, bus down and drink and watch baseball. Even if you're not a baseball fan, the ambiance of the stadium is SO good. Everyone is loud! Everyone claps! 95% of people DO participate in the chicken dance! Everyone stands to sing Take Me Out To The Ball Game during the 7th inning stretch. Oh, I ended up getting out of my Monday funk probably around the first time Dayo came on.
My grandma called me last night to see about postponing our date. I completely forgot that today (our normal date) is her and my grandpa's anniversary. Today they have been married for 58 years! Their secret? Keep it interesting. They travel together at least once a year. They still bicker and challenge each other. They still have their own set of friends and do things apart, as well as together. They still kiss. My grandma still rubs my grandpa's feet. My grandpa still calls my grandma pet names and slaps her on the butt. My grandma still brings my grandpa breakfast in bed. My grandpa still looks at my grandma like she's the only woman in the room. They are one of my most favourite couples and the basis in to what I want in a partner. I don't care about grand gestures. I want sweetness, kindness and real romance, like what my grandparents have. I want to be able to travel the world, make memories and be able to tell my grandchildren about them. I love that my grandparent's memories were made all over the world. I'm extremely happy for my grandparents for having a forever sort of love. Cheers to another many years together.
I'm meeting Kayla at the gym after work (we just recently found out we both go to the same gym). And then we're meeting with Kyle at 8:00 for some laps around Bear Creek and hopefully figure out the rest of our walk schedule. During my Monday funk, I told Kyle I want to get stupid drunk this weekend, and he said he can make that happen. I have a 26 of vodka, and I'm thinking of searching for cranberry gingerale (I have a weird feeling it's out somewhere). Anyways, happy Tuesday all!
