tuesdays are my favourite and so are you

Every Tuesday pretty much since I've started my 9:00 - 5:00 job, I've gone out with my grandma (we use to do Mondays when I was working retail as that was my standard day off.)

We normally hit up the thrift stores and I take full advantage of her senior's discount (20% off at Salvation Army, 30% off at Value Village ya'll). Before I left, we both kind of admitted we were sick of the ever growing prices at thrift stores, and kind of compiled a list of activities we wanted to do. This past Tuesday we did go to the thrift stores (this time the Langley ones as she picked me up from work) and I lucked out with some jaj pyrex and a really awesome vintage Mickey stuffy.

Next Tuesday I'm hoping we can knock off some of the things on our activity list.

  • Bowling
  • Surrey Art Gallery
  • Picnic
  • Library
  • Walk Bear Creek
  • Movie
I feel pretty lucky my grandma is one of my best friends. Some of my mum's friends have made comments to me saying it's so great I make time for my grandma. That's not the case at all. My grandma is FUN with a capital F. We have lots in common and thoroughly enjoy each others company. She is one of the few people I can tell just about anything to. The only thing we disagree on is lemon meringue pie (I hate it, she loves it) and tattoos (she hates them, I love them.)

Speaking of Tuesdays, Kyle brought up the fact Landmark has $6.00 admission on Tuesdays. If he doesn't mind going to a 8:00 p.m. (ish) show, I'm going to drag him to the movies. If not, I just want to go to the movies more period. I'm normally pretty terrible at new releases. So many times I say "I want to see that" and then I never physically see it. It's just that I've built this great relationship with Netflix.
